The Young Guy of ‘Family Guy’

This can’t be breaking news

Family Guy, this Emmy-nominated comedy, canceled and left for dead by Fox, has now returned to full-scale production in a rare case of television resurrection. ‘Family Guy’ was revived because of an unusual turn of events. While the show was on hiatus, reruns of it on Cartoon Network proved unexpectedly successful, especially among a prized television demographic group: men 18 to 34. The series drew more young men in its late-night Cartoon Network slot (it is usually on at 11 p.m. or later) than two of its broadcast competitors, CBS’s ‘Late Show With David Letterman’ and NBC’s ‘Tonight Show With Jay Leno.’ (At the end of this month Cartoon Network plans a special week of shows, including appearances by a costumed Mr. MacFarlane portraying several of his characters.)

I must not be reading the right blogs – why wasn’t this on something I read! Argh!
